(Oakville, ON) – Golf Canada is pleased to announce a promotional partnership with Tournament Caddie, a Canadian technology platform designed as an easy to use, one-stop solution for recreational or charity golf event organizers.

Launched in late 2017, TournamentCaddie is a web-based software tool designed to automate traditional time - or labour-intensive activities associated with organizing a golf event. The product aims to makes the tournament organizing process more efficient and effective for organizers.

Participation in recreational, corporate and charity golf outings is one of golf's largest participation segments and each year in Canada, more than 37,000 charity events at Canadian golf courses help to raise more than $533 million for worthwhile causes. Golf Canada’s promotional partnership with TournamentCaddie is an endorsement of a platform that makes it easier for event organizers to maximize their event’s potential.

The recreational and charity golf sector represents a huge component of golf participation in Canada,” said Golf Canada CEO Laurence Applebaum. “TournamentCaddie offers user-friendly platform with relevant features that we believe offers strong value to the committed golf event organizers who are driving charitable benefit through golf to communities across Canada.

The platform empowers event organizers to create a mobile-friendly website that allows for easy collection of registration payments; management of golf pairings and foursomes; printing personalized event scorecards; coordinating prize table donations; and much more. TournamentCaddie also offers a turnkey hole-in-one insurance program (up to $50,000) for golf events which is executed through a separate partnership agreement with Aviva Insurance.

“TournamentCaddie is dedicated to supporting the thousands of event organizers that volunteer their time to raise money for worthwhile causes,” said TournamentCaddie CEO Donal Byrne. “Our platform isn't a traditional tournament management system in that we don’t focus on scoring, leaderboards or other competitive event features. The TournamentCaddie solution is free for organizers to set up their event experience within minutes.
